Travel is harrowing, but it's important to keep in mind that many business people travel, and chances are you may re-encounter some of the individuals you meet while traveling, so creating a negative impression can be harmful.

Some tips while in transit:

On tipping: tip skycaps and bellhops $1 per bag, tip doormen $1 for hailing a cab, and tip housekeeping staff $1-3 per day.

When traveling with colleagues, don't let the stress of travel affect your interactions with them. Especially, give them ample space and down-time, and do not assume that business hours extend to 24/7

Show respect for the country or region you're visiting (especially, don't be derogatory) - this is as true inside the US as it is abroad. Also, it is recommended to dress conservatively: err on the side of discretion.

EN: On International protocol, it's generally accepted that a visitor to a foreign culture should be respectful of the domestic etiquette, but a host should be forgiving of the ignorance of visiting foreigners (and, in some instances, an unwillingness to comply to domestic etiquette when it is in conflict with their own cultural values).
