7: The Law of Respect
People don't choose follow others at random: invariably, they choose leaders they respect, a person who is in some regard stronger than themselves. If they are themselves more capable than another person, there is no motivation to follow them.
It is especially true among leaders: a leader will recognize the leadership (or lack thereof) in other people, as well as having a realistic assessment of his own, and be discerning in whom he seeks to follow.
(EN: That's all the meat there is to this chapter - the rest provides mini-biographies of Harriet Tubman, coach Dean Smith, and the author himself, which marvel at their accomplishments but don't have much to do with "the law of respect.")
